Rescue organizations handled over five hundred calls for help across the state, mainly for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

Damp conditions were forecast to persist along significant areas of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was expected to become the wettest day, with continued severe weather risk anticipated across different parts of both regions.

Public health experts alerted that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
